You guys at Interstate Turbine did a fantastic job at acquiring and installing that replacement attitude indicator! I just want to thank you for such a rapid and effective unplanned maintenance job!
The flight home was uneventful except for the dense smoke and reduced visibility making actual IFR flight a necessity for nearly the complete trip. The fires in western NC caused ATC to vector me directly from near Spartanburg, SC to Knoxville, TN directly over the highest peak of the Smokey Mountains. We actually crossed over Newfound Gap and could see Mt. LeConte and Clingsman’s Dome, the highest peaks on the border.
I have placed the new logbook entry within my logbook and filed the rest away!
Thank you again Al and Scott for this rapid and effective, unplanned attitude indicator replacement!
